Well freaky and sad someone actullay has been to the big hot star the Sun. Bill Nannes was the first to go to the Sun but he burned with in 3 seconds. But he actullay landed probably . If you would like to know who I got this information from . Google Dr . John C.Mather who is an NASA scientist.

Today Im going to tell you some of the stuff I like doing.
First off Im going to talk about the food I like and don’t like. Second I will tell you what I like to do and what I dont like to do. Also what music I like.

I like eating Sushi .My favourite meal is scalooped pataoes . I don’t like tamatoes. I hate sprouts and avacado. I love eating strawberrys.

I like playing rubgy . I like watching rugby. I enjoy playing kicks. I look after my hygiene . I collect nintendo ds games .I go to every thursday night. I have a bed. I play with my rugby ball everynight.

I like the band green day . I dont like old fashioned music. I always watch Phineas and Ferb on saturdays.

We are using the nations of the 2011 Rugby World Cup as our inquiry path.

For this unit we are in one of four teams: Brumbies, Force, Rebels, Stormers. My team is Stormers
There will be a number of tasks for us to navigate to achieve our goal of an excellent result in this unit. There are a mixture of individual and team tasks to be completed. The main task that will show our learning in this unit will be a Hyperstudio presentation about one of the countries in the World Cup competition.

I predict that Ireland are going to win the world cup and I hope they do aswell because my mum's side are from there . I like rugby beccause I have loved since I was young because I would watch it and liked watching the All Blacks . I played rugby for 5 years and enjoyed it .

Alexandra Graham Bell invented the telephone. He wanted to invent a device that transmitted speech through electricity. You can talk voice to voice with the telephone but before that they had to use telegraphs. Since the telephone was invented people could talk from a distance and voice to voice .

Alexandra Graham Bell was born on March, 3 1847 in Scotland and died on August 2 , 1922. His invention the telephone was invented on 1876 when he was 29 . He was only at school for five years from the age of ten to the age of fourteen.

1872 Bell founded a school for deaf-mutes in Boston, Massachusetts
1874 while working on a multiple telegraph, he developed the basic ideas for the telephone
1875 files first patent for telegraphy
1876 when the first complete sentence was transmitted
1877 formed Bell Telephone Company to operate local telephone exchange operation
1880 invented the photophone, which transmits speech by light rays
1882 acquired a controlling interest in the Western Electric Company, Elisha Gray's company

Alexandra Graham Bell’s Mother was deaf and a musician . His dad invented visible speech . His family called him ‘Aleck’ . When he was a teen he and his brother ‘Melly’ used the voice of a dead sheep to make the a machine that cried mama .

His invention is important because if someone is hurt or lost they can contact family members or emergency services . It was also good to let family member know that a close friend had passed away and organise events and outings.

Westpac Lifesaver Helicopter Rescue Compilation

Helicopters are really useful to the Air Force and rescue teams such as Westpac helicopter rescue. They are much different from airplanes because unlike airplanes helicopters can hover in one place (stay still while in the air) and can go straight up from the ground but airplanes have to move forward when going up. Police also use these machines to chase down or keep track of cars and suspects getting away . Westpac also help get into tricky spots and pick up patients and take them to the nearest hospital for treatment. Helicopters are helpful all over the world. Westpac is also a big help on the program piha rescue a beach rescue show . Westpac helps get patients to the hospital quick.

My Thoughts About Camp

Team 5’s camp is coming up next week and I am really excited about it and Im sure everyone is aswell and so are the teachers. My teacher Mr Harris must be because it’s his first camp at Pt England . Last year’s camp was cool but this year has got to be better. It’s called ‘Take Charge’
and yesterday and my team is called the ‘Thinkers’ , our leaders are Tamati and Racheal. We did 2 activitys one was we had to come up with a chant and our second activity was we got givin one set of the hall chairs , e 4 separte class chairs and 1 big mat .

Rock up at camp was one cool thing we did and there were alot of cool thing’s like rock climbing, Archery and other things that I liked. My favourite one was dunker

One of the things I enjoyed about camp ‘TC’ was Rock Up but I think it should be called push up because they make us do alot of push up’s. We had 5 activity’s , my favourite one was the dunker . We were lucky because we were the first group to do it and we enjoyed it. At the end they anounced the winning team and we won . Our prize was a can of fizzy and a choclate.

TAUPO Getaway

The school year was finally over but the Christmas Holidays were just starting. Guess where I went in the holidays?, I went down to Taupo , it was a really exciting trip down. The Christmas Holidays had just started , I was in Taupo for Christmas day but also for New Year. I wanted my Holidays away from Auckland and head off to Taupo , Taupo is a whole new place with lots to do and fun activitys , new sights and smells .

The event every kid , every person loves is Christmas where everyone loves to see thier family , friends , going away and most of all PRESENTS, PRESENTS, PRESENTS and MORE PRESENTS. Well pretty much I always go away to family im like a traveller who travels around the north Island. My favourites are Te Awamutu, Taupo, And Cambridge. These Holidays im going to exsperience a new place with lots of loving family at cooks beach a excited week to look forward to. for Christmas day I will be going with my Aunty in Taupo and christmas is really close .

surf life saving ed at Mirangi bay

On a cloudy Friday morning the year 7's of point England school were excited as they were looking forward to a fun packed day we were off to Mirangi bay for surf lessons to stay safe in the surf.

Finally we arrived after a half n hour or so we finally got to strecth i raced to the front 'Everyone sit down' says Mrs Nua then Rosie one of the guards came over and we took our bags up into the surf club. it was a beautiful sight of Rangitoto but the waves were small not big like Piha.

The first thing we did was the rules of the sun and other activity's but the best was playing on the boggy boards on the waves the parents made a perimeter around us first the boys had the boggy boards first.

Man vs Wild is a program about a man who teaches people how to survive in the wild It used to be on thursday nights on Prime but the season is finished. My favourite episodes are when he goes into forests and sets traps to keep himself safe from bears and other wild animals.

He eats all sorts of yuck stuff like zebra's ,dead pig's and snakes he even sometimes

make hunting weaons out of the things around him and hunts for food.

There are alot of stuff he can make from Rafts to beds to sleep on he always finds a safe place to

sleep and makes sure he away from deadly animals.

This program features Bear Grylls and all he has is one camera man and a crew .

For one of our reading tasks we had to write some facts about a surviving in a life raft after reading a story in a school journy here are some facts.

1. You need to practice getting back on in the raft quickly if you go over board.

2. Don’t drink salt water or your own urine or it will make you more thirsty and your die quiker of thirst.

3. Don’t say your not going to survive or else you won’t bileve your survive

4. Snuggle together to keep bodyheat and you don’t freeze to death.

5. Practice swimming to the craft.

6. Always have sea sick pills.

7. You need to know how to swim.

8. You need to keep the floor of the boat dry.

9. You need to wear a life jacket.

10. Wear warm clothes.

11. You can survive for 24 hours with out food or water so don’t eat or drink within the first 24 hours.

12. Practice inflating the craft blindfolded.

13. Grab alot of water containers.

14. If the craft capsizes you need the strongest person to get in first and pull the rest in.

15. If water get in quikly get the water out.

Call of duty 4: Modern Warfare

Modern warfare can be played on X box 360 or PS3 . Every time I go to my Brothers house we play call of duty. Its an army game and most of the maps are in Iraq.

The game can have up to 4 players but me and my 2 brothers just play 3 player. Now there are allot of guns I pick machine guns and my brothers always choose the best gun on the game the sniper. If I get in the way of there aiming site I'm a dead man walking and press of one button I'm dead.

Immersion Assembly

Here at Point England school we have what is called an Immersion Assembly. An Immersion Assembly is at the start of each term. It is also to tell the school what our topic is.

My favourite Immersion Assembly was last terms one, ACTIVE EARTH. It was my favourite because we were leaning about the Auckland Volcanic field.

At Immersion Assembly's all the teachers dress up so that their costume their wearing relates to our topic for the term. Each team does an act for the school.

I like Immersion Assembly's because they are really fun and exciting.

The Karate Kid

The Karate Kid I have seen 3 times and it has Will Smiths son in it Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan . It is about a boy called Dre (Jaden) who moved to China with his mum because she got a job there. His first day in China a park outside his new home he went to saw a girl he liked and did dancing in front of her and then a boy who liked her had a fight with Dre and gave him a black eye. And at school he got bullied bye the some boy. So Mr Huang (Jackie Chan) trained Dre for an upcoming tournament for karate. Dre versed each one and won and then one Brooke Dre's leg and he was engerd but Mr Haung did a Chinese thing and made him better and Dre went back out and won against the on who kept beating him up.

This is a picture of my volcano art. We had to draw a plan of a volcano first on a little A4 scrap paper with a pencil and then we got a big piece of black paper and chalk.We drew our plan volcano with chalk onto the black paper and then I coloured in with pastels. it took a lot of work but it was alot of fun. I hope I can do it again soon.

In our 2 week holiday I went to see the movie BOY twice. I went with my Mum to Sky city cinemas on Queen's street. It was so funny that I was getting stitch's when he just said "so".

I left laughing. Then 2 days later my Nana rang to see if I wanted to go see BOY but she asked if I had seen it I said no I haven't so she said she will come get me at six. I was so excited a I danced around like a professional . So I love the funniest movie I've seen ever in my life
