My Thoughts About Camp

Team 5’s camp is coming up next week and I am really excited about it and Im sure everyone is aswell and so are the teachers. My teacher Mr Harris must be because it’s his first camp at Pt England . Last year’s camp was cool but this year has got to be better. It’s called ‘Take Charge’
and yesterday and my team is called the ‘Thinkers’ , our leaders are Tamati and Racheal. We did 2 activitys one was we had to come up with a chant and our second activity was we got givin one set of the hall chairs , e 4 separte class chairs and 1 big mat .

Rock up at camp was one cool thing we did and there were alot of cool thing’s like rock climbing, Archery and other things that I liked. My favourite one was dunker

One of the things I enjoyed about camp ‘TC’ was Rock Up but I think it should be called push up because they make us do alot of push up’s. We had 5 activity’s , my favourite one was the dunker . We were lucky because we were the first group to do it and we enjoyed it. At the end they anounced the winning team and we won . Our prize was a can of fizzy and a choclate.

Man vs Wild.

Man vs Wild is a program about a man who teaches people how to survive in the wild It used to be on thursday nights on Prime but the season is finished. My favourite episodes are when he goes into forests and sets traps to keep himself safe from bears and other wild animals.

He eats all sorts of yuck stuff like zebra's ,dead pig's and snakes he even sometimes

make hunting weaons out of the things around him and hunts for food.

There are alot of stuff he can make from Rafts to beds to sleep on he always finds a safe place to

sleep and makes sure he away from deadly animals.

This program features Bear Grylls and all he has is one camera man and a crew .

Suvival

For one of our reading tasks we had to write some facts about a surviving in a life raft after reading a story in a school journy here are some facts.


1. You need to practice getting back on in the raft quickly if you go over board.

2. Don’t drink salt water or your own urine or it will make you more thirsty and your die quiker of thirst.

3. Don’t say your not going to survive or else you won’t bileve your survive

4. Snuggle together to keep bodyheat and you don’t freeze to death.

5. Practice swimming to the craft.

6. Always have sea sick pills.

7. You need to know how to swim.

8. You need to keep the floor of the boat dry.

9. You need to wear a life jacket.

10. Wear warm clothes.

11. You can survive for 24 hours with out food or water so don’t eat or drink within the first 24 hours.

12. Practice inflating the craft blindfolded.

13. Grab alot of water containers.

14. If the craft capsizes you need the strongest person to get in first and pull the rest in.

15. If water get in quikly get the water out.

Call of duty 4: Modern Warfare

Modern warfare can be played on X box 360 or PS3 . Every time I go to my Brothers house we play call of duty. Its an army game and most of the maps are in Iraq.

The game can have up to 4 players but me and my 2 brothers just play 3 player. Now there are allot of guns I pick machine guns and my brothers always choose the best gun on the game the sniper. If I get in the way of there aiming site I'm a dead man walking and press of one button I'm dead.

Immersion Assembly

Here at Point England school we have what is called an Immersion Assembly. An Immersion Assembly is at the start of each term. It is also to tell the school what our topic is.

My favourite Immersion Assembly was last terms one, ACTIVE EARTH. It was my favourite because we were leaning about the Auckland Volcanic field.

At Immersion Assembly's all the teachers dress up so that their costume their wearing relates to our topic for the term. Each team does an act for the school.

I like Immersion Assembly's because they are really fun and exciting.

The Karate Kid

The Karate Kid I have seen 3 times and it has Will Smiths son in it Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan . It is about a boy called Dre (Jaden) who moved to China with his mum because she got a job there. His first day in China a park outside his new home he went to saw a girl he liked and did dancing in front of her and then a boy who liked her had a fight with Dre and gave him a black eye. And at school he got bullied bye the some boy. So Mr Huang (Jackie Chan) trained Dre for an upcoming tournament for karate. Dre versed each one and won and then one Brooke Dre's leg and he was engerd but Mr Haung did a Chinese thing and made him better and Dre went back out and won against the on who kept beating him up.

Volcano Artwork

This is a picture of my volcano art. We had to draw a plan of a volcano first on a little A4 scrap paper with a pencil and then we got a big piece of black paper and chalk.We drew our plan volcano with chalk onto the black paper and then I coloured in with pastels. it took a lot of work but it was alot of fun. I hope I can do it again soon.

Dane Rumble

This is Dane Rumble he is a New Zealand singer. My favourite song of his is his latest song Cruel. It's cool when his face looks like space which is the picture on the left. He has a new CD out in stores with his latest song cruel.

Black Hawk Down

Black Hawk Down is my favourite movie because it has allot of war. I like everything about war I have the Black Hawk Down DVD I have watched it heaps of times. But it is sad that is a real thing that happens and allot of people die in those country's that are war zones like in Afghanistan. This movie shows just what happens in war zones.

Jabbawockeez

Jabbawockeez are an dance group in America and were in competition's like America's best dance crew and Pepsi smash and lots more. They wear masks because that's there type of dance suit.

I liked there performance at teen choice awards with there normal dance and song. They are really popular in America.

The Day The Music Died

Last Year The KING OF POP Michael Jackson died sending shock waves around the world.He was in the middle of a massive come back tour of a big 50 shows in London called This Is It .I brought his DVD the day it came out in stores.My favourite Michael Jackson song is They Don't Really Care About Us. Before Michael Jackson was king of pop he was in a group with his brothers called Jackson 5.My favourite move of his is the moonwalk. The music isn't really the same without Michael

Phineas and Ferb

Phineas and Ferb is my favourite cartoon I like Phineas the best because he always comes up with fantatic ideas.But the funny thing is there sister Candice always tries to get her two brothers into trouble when they invent something but she always fails because what they invented some how disapears and all there Mum says is "Hi Boys""Hi Mum".And thats the funny bit.I watch it every time it's on.

High flying Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy is my most favourite entertaining,high flying and risk taking wrestler. He once was tag team with his brother Matt Hardy and they used to be called The hardy boy's.But now they are now enimeis and are the best in ladder match's. They pretty much are the kings of ladder's in the whole of the WWE.I love Jeff Hardy's finisher the high flying move the Swanton Bomb

My favourite N.R.L player

Billy Slater is my favourite N.R.L player because he scores alot of tries and is is fast.He plays for the Melbourne Storm also my favourite team.Once again I am going for the Melbourne Storm all the way.It will be good to see him back in action once again in 2010.I hope he will be able to be fast and better this year.

My Family

These are my cousins Keir and Corin Keir is always running around and Corin is always asking the question WHY?.They were born in Scotland.

This is my Uncle Kevin and Aunty Gudie.Uncle kevin was born in New Zealand in Auckland but went to Ireland in a tomato box because there were no seats for babies on the plane.Aunty Gudie is from England.

This is my Uncle Andy and Aunty Noranne. My Uncle Andy is a truck driver and My Aunty Noranne is the BOSS.Uncle Andy is English and my Aunty Noranne is Irish and they met in Auckland 12 years ago.

This is my Aunty Dierdrei and Uncle Richard with my cousin Rosemary in Taupo.Aunty Dierdrei is studying social work and Uncle Richard is a scientist who study's Volcano's.

This is my youngest

cousin Rosemary she has no hair and she is 15 months old.She is almost as tall as her mother.

My family is from all over the world.My Uncle Tomjoe and his family live in America,My Aunty Jessica lives in Germany,My Aunty Rachel and her family live in France.My Uncle Timothy and his family live in Scotland,But my Uncle Timothy works on ships and he travels all over the world.My Aunty Ericka lives in Auckland and is in the Air Force and has a cat called Jack.
